Architecture for Health

"Architecture does not cure sickness but it improves the quality of life and recovery of patients." These were the words of architect Albert de Pineda, founder of the studio PINEARQ, to team LA(H)B. He explained that "there is no specific architecture for hospitals, only a specific program and an architectural responseā€. Students learned about the importance of implementing concepts such as natural lighting, systematization, functionality and adaptability when designing a hospital project.
