Site Visit: General Hopsital of Olot

In his lecture in the LA(H)B architect Ramon Sanabria spoke about some of the singular aspects of the hospital program: it is a building that is open 24/7 and it is the scenario for a wide range of emotions and user groups. But above all, it is architecture that responds to the place where it is located and to the people it serves, providing a space "that provokes peace and comfort rather than anxiety". Visiting the General Hospital of Olot with Lidia Planas from Sanabria Arquitectes was an opportunity to experience these concepts and understand their value for hospital design.
