In the project workshop, under the direction of Mario Corea, each student will design a medium-complexity hospital. The focus is on the interrelations between the healthcare systems the spatial and architectural qualities.

THE AIM IS FOR STUDENTS TO:

  • Learn how to choose an appropriate site and design typology with the suitable characteristics for the development of a medium complexity hospital.
  • Design a hospital based on the interrelations between the architectural design of the spaces and the functional organization.
  • Propose architectural models that respond to the concepts developed in the research of each student.
  • Once the research is completed and the preliminary project has been approved by the academic direction, each student will develop a project thesis consisting of a project and written analysis that addresses the subject she/he has chosen.
