This project is based on three concepts. First, memory, since the site is where the Model prison was located the intention is to transmit through a large void the absence of what was there before, not denying the past, but remembering it. The second consideration is permeability with respect to the city, through a large-scale public space. Finaly, given that this project is very powerful because of its memory, scale, hospital program and location within the urban fabric, forms and pure lines were utilized in terms of its architecture.
