Located in the Eixample district, this project seeks to both integrate with and respond to the needs of its consolidated environment. Consequently, the hospital adopts an urban profile, with a tall and solid volume that descends to a lower part, creating a transition towards a large green space that is open to the public. Patios and voids are used to break with the idea of a solid block, providing not only lightness but also public spaces. Part of the ground floor gives way into an open porch, which serves as the entrance and connects the hospital with the public space, the people and the city.
