The location of the hospital on the site respects the existing buildings and establishes a relationship between the old and the new. At the same time this former industrial hub is revitalized by the functional program of the hospital. The important link that is created is potentiated by the permeability of the new building that allows for people to flow between the volumes. Meeting areas and places for activities are created in the public spaces, which encourages further the dialogue with the existing buildings.
