The project consists of a base, upon which an elongated volume extends, floating over the axis of Cristóbal de Moura Street and allowing for its continuity. The volume follows the orientation of the old factory, with the purpose of creating spaces on its edges, where pedestrian access plazas, ambulance platforms and loading and unloading areas are developed. The functional program is related to the orientation and location of the hospital, with the critical units facing Diagonal Avenue, the ambulatory and public units facing Cristóbal de Moura Street and the hospitalization units facing south to prioritize natural lighting and views of the city.
"A rooftop pergola is also planned to allow patients and family members to meet in a sheltered outdoor space, taking advantage of Barcelona's good weather".
