This hospital project seeks to reflect the historical memory of the Model prison in the opposite way to that which the citizens of Barcelona have perceived it up to now by the use of design and architectural elements that are intended to facilitate the well-being of the users. Since architecture should be considered a means that can carry out a specific purpose, which in this case it is to serve as a therapeutic facility, elements that usually go unnoticed were studied in order to acheive a hospital that recuperates physical and mental health and improves the quality of life.
