The design revolves around a central hub that is the organizational center and connection point between the hospital’s two blocks. These rectangular four-level blocks contain all of the care and service activities required by the functional program. The proposed layout has a modular structure, allowing for interchangeability in the inpatient areas. The systematic repetition of identical modules enables functionally motivated combinations, according to the needs that may arise at any given moment. This is achieved with orderliness maintained at all times, and with spaces designed to prioritize the comfort of the diverse user groups.
