The project develops the idea of a hospital integrated into the natural landscape based on three concepts: use of the existing topography, fusion with the landscape and opening up views towards the surroundings. The design process began with the assessment of the existing pedestrian walkway, which runs parallel to what would be the proposed public access and exterior circulation. To achieve a better integration with nature and to minimize the impact of the built volume, the hospital services were distributed in three blocks oriented towards the mountains to the south. This distribution also generates green spaces between the blocks, where the forest penetrates into the hospital.
