The project of this hospital located in the heart of Barcelona was based on the need to create a transition between the areas of public use located along the Avinguda Meridiana, and the areas of hospital use, taking them closer to the Eixample neighborhood. The project proposes spaces for social use consisting of a spacious hall with views of interior patios. This hall promotes socialization among the users, and the courtyards allow the penetration of natural light into all spaces. The plaza located parallel to the Meridiana allows for the transition between the hustle and bustle of the city and the peaceful atmosphere that characterizes the interior of the hospital.
